Oded Ezer, You're My Type
I am so captivated by the work of Israeli typographer Oded Ezer that I keep going back to it:
- The gorgeous photos of his 3-dimensional type treatments that grace his website.
- Typosperma, part of his Biotypography work.
- His fabulous Flickr set with his experimental type shapes (check the Dadist interpretation of "Helvetica"- awesome!)
Speaking of Helvetica: I'm watching the movie. Again.
Have you visited Bembo's Zoo yet? The Peacock and the Zebra are my favorites.
A different kind of type: Zhang Huan's Family Tree.
Thursdays are good for daydreaming about Type.

If you haven't seen this blog, I'd suggest checking it out. There are some amazing entries where they've taken old illustrations and manuscripts from libraries and posted them online - always a source of (artistic) inspiration:

Well, I saw your post this morning and shot off the links to an old friend who's way, way, way, in to typography and such things. He runs a blog called, The King of Pho based out of Sacramento. He wrote back, "I KNOW THAT GUY !!!" Ah well, it's the thought that counts, right?

Chuck - that's a great find. I hadn't seen it before, so thank you.
Biggles - you're so well connected! Somehow that doesn't surprise me at all...

So many terrific finds here, Jennifer. I love that our world is filled with so many creative minds. I haven't watched Helvetica yet but I have a friend who has watched that film several times. She loves it so.
