We Love BBQ Sauce, too!

When I saw Catherine's picture of her apricot jam a couple of weeks ago, I was terribly jealous that hers arrived before mine.

When mine showed up last week,  I was happily surprised to find two beautiful jars of BBQ sauce in the box as well. I had ordered the sauce along with the best apricot jam you have ever tasted, but had since forgotten.

This is some fine sauce... thick, dark and smoky, with a hint of warm spice (cloves, perhaps?), a bit of sweetness (maple syrup?) and something edgy (ginger?) to round out the flavors.

Slathered it on some chicken pieces a few days ago... mmm, good.

I received my jam, but somehow I missed out on the BBQ sauce. I'll have to see whether they are still offering it.

Mind you, I haven't cracked into the jam yet. Not sure what I'm waiting for.

I just read the shop's story online. Not only are you about to indulge in the best apricot jam you have ever tasted but you're supporting an endangered type of apricot tree! Good goin'! And I hope your tastebuds do backflips!

Install to country style pork ribs after they've been indirectly smoked for a few hours with hickory. Sear directly just until sauce caramelizes, eat promptly. Use no gas to cook.

Susanna - it is indeed delicious. Very sweet, but good apricot flavor.
